Borrow a ‘book from the Human Library’

 

We are proud to partner with Human Library for this year’s event.

The Human Library is, in the true sense of the word, a library of people. Readers can borrow human beings serving as open books and have conversations they would not normally have access to. Every human book from our bookshelf, represent a group in our society that is often subjected to prejudice, stigmatization or discrimination because of their lifestyle, diagnosis, belief, disability, social status, ethnic origin etc.

We’ll open our event at 11am specifically for Human Library bookings.

We have a dedicated quiet seating area full of energised people who have volunteered to answer difficult questions and you can be part of it. Ticket holders can pre-book a borrowing slot with their chosen book now.

Sessions will be 30 minute long and you can borrow a ‘book’ as a duo (with a friend or other family member) if you’re coming to the event together. Sessions are available between 11am-1pm and we have the following titles to choose from:

5. Non Binary

7. Menopause
8. Depressive
9. Adoptive parent
10.Arrange Marraige
11.Mother of LGBT children
